Viewing a thread - Help me pick a laptop

KFarms89 - 3/14/2021 16:15 Need to get a good laptop. I do a lot of work in excel also looking at getting a quick books style accounting software. I will also use it for SMS. Will also have software for a wood CNC machine. Needs to be fast. I can’t stand draggy computers that have to think 5-10 seconds every time you click on something. Looking at old posts it looks the the i7 processor, at least 8 GB of RAM and SSD are must haves? I would consider a higher resolution screen, Touch screen convertible (so you can fold the key board under) and work with a local PC shop and build your own. Most likely you will have this for several years, so build it up to better then your spec's for about the same money as Best Buy. I would also consider Costco, as they offer members excellent service and extended service/warranty.
