Subject: Sealing a cold joint in concrete

West central Ohio
Hello all,

I'm wanting to install some permanent, concrete footbaths in a freestall barn. Simple pours, 4" wide by 6" tall on top of existing concrete.

My question is, what will I need to do to seal it from leaking, as I will also need to include some type of drain for it as well? Is it as simple as some type of caulking that is applied after the concrete is cured or will I need to do some prep work before laying the crete in?

Keep in mind that it will need to withstand direct contact with formaldehyde and copper sulfate.

I appreciate any help with this!
