Yes, it made a big difference, even though JD 4030 is well light. I also added 2 lights shine outwards illuminating the boom on each side. I believe I cut the wattage consumption in half by my computation.
Of course, JD, like most other mfg now, has gone to LED for all except the main HID light. I did leave the factory HID on the front of the 4038 also.
