I am purely guessing, but it could have to do with the 2050 being capable of doing grade control. It may have been an agreement between the Ag and Construction side. I know when I was a Leica dealer, there was some things that were limited to the construction side, since they sold the more expensive GPS products. Same hardware, but slightly different software.
