East of Broken Bow | If not cabinet grade work, about any of the major brands make good saws.
I was helping on a project at our Church, one of the guys spearheading the job, had a DeWalt saw, with the shadow lines where the blade will go. IMO, if you are doing any amount of cutting at all, get one set up something like that. Some saws have a laser, that shows where the blade will cut, but his with the shadow lines showed you EXACTLY where the kerf was going to be on the board. Made it easy for even an amateur like me, to be able to 'cut the line', 'leave the line' or 'center the line'. And at least with his, you can do it, with the saw off, and not having to touch the work, with the blade. Probably saved us 15 minutes of time, during the day, with all the cuts we made. Might save only a few seconds per cut, but saves those few seconds on every cut, all day long. | |
