Bonnie IL | We don't use a load board to get loads. We are very fortunate and have a group of companies and people we haul for and that keeps our trucks busy. Since we don't play the load board game when we haul something long distance we have to get paid for a round trip generally. The scenario that I saw on here at the start of this thread was one of those ideal set ups you don't see very often. Almost a round trip haul loaded both directions just by luck. Before we had our own trucks and we needed something hauled I was always reluctant to just hire someone because they had a truck. Hauling equipment takes a special person, kind of like a famer, you have to be able to drive the truck, drive the equipment, get it started if it doesn't want to, know how to load it, get it tied down right. Gotta be an all around cowboy not just a steering wheel holder. | |
