SC Wisconsin | Alternator on my gehl 5640e with yanmar motor is bad. Drove around to all the local autoparts stores and nobody can match it up. The brand name is Iskra. I called the gehl dealer and told them the serial number and he said they have 2 options, one is is $200 some dollars and the other is $900 some dollars. I said send the cheap one, not a fan of spending $900 plus on an alternator. Well the picture is what they sent me. Ill call them on Monday to ask if they sent me the wrong one or if I need a kit to retrofit the cheaper one? Has anyone found a cheaper alternative than $900 that actually fits the way it should or am I going to be stuck paying out the rear for this alternator?
