They are wired both ways, one pos. terminal is keyed power, the other is live, and the third is ground.
This is the common method and factory wiring on Deere.
This. That way you can choose by how you wire up the plug into the strip. I like having most things powered with switch but do like the scale on grain cart to be always on.
