I don't remember who told me, must have been dad.  All the basic safety elements to safely handle guns.
However, I did do bad things. Such as shooting glass balls on lightning rods.
My favorite things when young, shooting dandylion head stems till they fell over with a pellet gun.
Trying to hit flies on the side of the barn. 
I even shot a mouse in the house, he would come out from the couch or somewhere, then stop and run back. I got him with a pellet gun.
Yes I got in trouble with mom.
