portable/moveable polls are nice. But, to keep the net tight you still need anchors. Or at least that's what I found out 25 +/- years ago when I made this setup. It started out with a Ford 6000 rear wheel weight (100+ lbs) as the base. The pole stayed straight, but the net would not stay tight. A second weight under each base worked. But made them a PIA to move. So I punted. I ended up with a truly portable setup that I transported to many cookouts. Because of the light weight. Setup (including setting ancor stakes) does not take any more time than rolling the 200+lbs base into place. The base for this set is an old 19" rim. If your only wanting a setup for a single location. I'd go with the pipe in the ground route. And include room for a couple turn buckles on one or both sides to keep the net tight.
