You don't want to end up with winter kill so I wouldn't. We do haul pen pack after taking the rye off in August, incorporate it, let some regrowth of volunteer rye/weed come, and then spray with glyphosate and plant rye again around Sept 1. Only luck I have had with rye on rye.
