Subject: RE: Long hopper trailer vs pup trailer?

McCanna, ND
In ND here, we run a pusher on the semi and 50x78x96 Timpte triple is legal for ~95k or so. With 10% harvest or winter permits we can haul 105,500 which is max in ND. Empty weight is 32500lbs, can get 1300bu of corn legally which is nice. You would want a triple hopper or taller/wider if hauling flowers.

The extra weight of a pup trailer isn’t worth it for us plus need to be more experienced/aware of what’s going on if you would have to back up for example.
