What feed? It's done in March. We start grazing ryegrass and Texas wintergrass hard by then. Pastures are in full green up and even Bermuda is out in April. We can bale a dry 17% hay in May off winter grasses. The wintergrass and Texas bluegrass is out and gaining now on pastures. A cow can lift her tail and crap to your state from here.
