We have a Kitchen Aid. They have quit making them but some are still available on line last I checked.

As far as the components, I think Soda Stream makes the internals for the Kitchen Aid. At least they use their bottles. But the machine itself is very heavy and stays put on a shelf because of it (as opposed to being made of plastic).

I got an adapter hose off Ebay to attach it to a 20# CO2 bottle and bought the new bottle...........can't remember, got one off Ebay and the other off Amazon.

I do about 4 one liter bottles a day for about 8 months out of the year and the original 20# is still going after a year and a half. Have not had to refill it yet.

It gets rather expensive refilling the little CO2 bottles that come with the machine. If a person is going to use it a lot, going with a big CO2 bottle has an initial cost but then the operating cost is almost nothing. We got the 20# bottle filled at our welding supply dealer.
