Wasn't trying to make it magically create yield. I wanted to see if we saw it increase our tissue samples values for that nutrient. I didn't expect it to tbh. I think if we tried boron it would've worked better as it is an anion and mobile in the soil. I felt we were having a zn issue in our soybeans so I was curious if it would address my issue. We did see some increase in levels but not enough imo to justify that application method.
If you didn't learn about zn and beans or figure it out by trying multiple forms of zn and multiple placements or multiple timings, I would argue that you were hoping for a miracle magical silver bullet. I would not chalk that experience up in the column of "I tried it" at all. Not trying to attack you but if growers want to improve there isn't really any time to sugar coat things. Things need to be tried until they are understood and then adapted by a serious commitment. |
