Subject: RE: cold weather work gloves

Alberta
Over the years I have worn a bit of everything. My hands kind of have built in warmers, instead of getting cold, they get stiff in the cold, so maybe I am not the best for advice but IMHO, if you need to work with your hands simple white cotton or nylon roping gloves are fine until they get wet or you tear a hole in them, I wore them all winter once. Cheap fleece lined gloves are good if the lighter ones don't do it. In extreme gold, I prefer gauntlet mitts with leather palms for better wear and nylon back for moisture resistance. I prefer gauntlet to keep the snow and wind off my wrists. If you get cold hands, nothing will beat a good pair of mitts. Not big on spending a lot of dollars on gloves cause they never last, but I will spend a few dollars on a good pair of mitts.
