I increased the freeplay setting, increased angle/turn and increased the aggressivness. Adjusting the freeplay helped the most with getting online and reducing the error when online. Calibrating the other settings seemed to become easier after increasing the freeplay.
Getting lined up and online before engaging also helps performance.
