how about all farmers simply reduce the amount of P and K purchased each year? when a salesman comes out and says you better lock in now because its only going up we say no thanks to the current price and no thanks to the higher price, come back when it gets close to this price. if you are that reliant on purchased inputs to grow a crop you better figure something out now because what are you going to do when regulations come out. regulations saying how much you can put down per acre and when you can apply it.

.
.Nice thought, if only it worked that way!
. YOU go first.......... you will be the first one to not grow anything to sell. No fertilizer = no production. The commodity price wont go up because one The calendar and the seasons aren't going to stop because we don't buy fertilizer.
