Swmn
Here is the conclusion i have come to. I have 2 rows giving me trouble from time to time. replaced everything that would make it skip/double. on a smooth bean field they work perfectly. Corn on corn fields with rootballs/rougher surface i have trouble. here is what is happening, my trouble rows are 3 and 23. a guadge wheel is located in front of and left of each unit. i think every now and then a small piece of dirt/dust will get thrown from that guadge wheel and get caught between the small black idler sprocket for the chain tightner and the spindle it rides on. somtiemes the dirt will work its way out sometimes not. doesnt matter if the idler and spindle are new or not, same trouble. lubrication seems to make the problem worse by collecting more dirt. i may go to a proshaft on those 2 units unless i can come up with somehing else. Guadge wheel tends to throw more dirt in my plowed corn on corn fields.
