Since you are using Trimble, the WM Survey II app will work very nicely.
I do recommend an Android tablet over a phone due to screen size. About any tablet will do it. I run it on a 4 or 5 year old Samsung S2 Tab. You need to feed it RTK NMEA from some source. This can be from any Trimble RTK receiver. A 372 or CFX750 would most likely be the most "afordable". Any one of the 432/442/542 base/rover work nicely as well. I did my testing of it with a 542 as that is what I had on hand and you could use Bluetooth for the data from the 542 to the tablet so no hardwire. | |
