Subject: RE: Commercial drone usage for spraying

This is the first year with the spray drones, we will have all 4 people involved to make sure we do a good job and manage the swarm successfully and safely.
This is the first year with the custom/commercial applicators license. We have had the MN private applicators license in the past.
We are going to follow the label instructions for the product applied. This first year we are going apply mostly fungicides and micronutrients, foliar applied.
With the drones we can hot swap the batteries and the liquid containers in less than a minute per drone. We will have our mixing station and charging station near the drones landing/take off zone.
Our fields have good line of site for about a 1/2 mile. If not we will move to make sure we have eyes on the drones at all times.
We are going to follow labeled recommendations and the drones manufacturers recommended spray swath.

Here is an article that talks about boom width on a fixed wing spray aircraft and the need to have the boom width less than the wingspan of the aircraft and why.

We are new to the spray drones and will know a lot more in 6 months than we do today.

Thanks of the questions.
