| We've been growing Dakota Black for three years and it works great for us for both wholesale and direct to consumer. We also sell it to regional seed companies. What we like is the flavor and the thin hull that almost disappears when you pop it.
Seed is available fairly widely on the internet or you can buy it from us. You can save seed and sell it as seed there's no PVP on it and it breeds true. We do have more than a mile of separation so we don't have problems with it crossbreeding. We do get about 1% that is white or lavender. Thinking about growing out the lavender somewhere else just for the fun of it. | |
