We did. Based on bills to pay, bad USDA data, warnings from advisors and carryout/production numbers pointing toward disaster pricing for a long time to come.
Sucks to be us when we can't tell the future and listen to both the private and USDA "experts"
Honestly, trying to make us feel bad for using proper risk management in the face of bad data that may or may not ever get fixed is just lower than low. Anyone scolding the early sellers is a schmuck. We all have a right to be angry about the pivotal information sourcing producing such terrible data for so long. It's inexcusable in this day and age with all our information instantly at their fingertips.
Where was that attitude before October when the late sellers were repeatedly being told how stupid they were for not selling ahead every year since 2012?
We’re all playing in the same markets. Everyone has bills to pay. Everyone gets approximately the same information to make their own decisions and reap the rewards or consequences of them. Don’t go dragging down the winners of this round just because you found yourself losing. Nobody likes a sore loser, especially after watching them win 6 then have a fit over losing 1.
