Subject: RE: Illinois Pesticide Testing

When you get the letter they have a link to UofI to register and schedule an exam. Its a little cumbersome if you dont have an elearn account with them as you’ll need to get one. And then, an account with ProctorU, the online proctoring service that administers the exam. Then, schedule an appointment to take the exam.

Your computer needs mic/web cam and the software allows ProctorU to watch you take the test.

The test itself isnt bad. Multiple choice and not much different then what you would see in person.

The hard part is getting your computer to work the way it needs to to take the test. Im fairly tech savy and had a hard time. If you’re not, have someone around to help with the technology stuff.

ProctorU website does have a mock exam to ensure everything works on your computer the way it should....and I did that and still had some issues.

I would set aside an extra hour for compatability issues but once its working it’ like any other website form/survey/test. They do or can watch and hear you take the test once you start.

Good luck!
