Fairbury, NE (Southeast) | Cat or equivalent 12 ton payloader such as a it28. Can knock off bucket and go to forks in a few seconds. Road speed, capacity, cab entry, cycle life, versatiity, resale, all point to a payloader if you are not in close quarters. That said we did acquire a Gehl trackloader for tree cutting and fence work. It is fairly bare bones but has a lot of capacity and seems to run a tree saw very well. We bought used as they have much less resale than a cat or deere, and the final drives and engine (duetz) are common . As a a 5 ton machine it is all our tilt bed wants. | |
