The best way to avoid taxes is to not make any money. I’ve tried it, and it works, but I don’t recommend it. I’ve also tried making a decent amount of money and paying taxes on it. I like that a lot better. The year I had to wait until after we harvested some grain to be able to afford a new pair of work boots was not fun. We do meet with our accountant near the end of the year and might choose to accelerate a purchase we planned to make anyway to stay in a certain bracket. We don’t do stupid stuff just to avoid sending dollars to DC. You can’t buy yourself rich.
the part about the boots been there
