No, Jason is NOT right, IF you have a good rotary converter, it is not necessary to oversize it.

We have a Roto-Phase, and the HD models are rated for operating two motors of the largest size plus about a half more. On our HD30, we can start and operate two 30 hp motors and another 15 hp in smaller motors at the same time, for a total of 75 hp. The standard models can start one large motor and operate more smaller ones...a Model B could start a 10 hp motor and then start and run probably at least another 5 hp.
