I have a phone that accepts a micro SD card. I set my phone camera to save all images to the card, then just pull the micro card, put it in an SD adapter which then goes in an SD to USB adapter and plug it into my computer. Then just copy and paste photos where I want.
Here is an example of a phone photo I transferred that way:
