| I found there are 2 things that you need to do.
1- The first is that you need to clean the mouse wheel and the parts that surround the wheel. I had two kinds of mice. One had screws on the bottom that I took out and the wheel mechanism and holder needed cleaning. The other you popped the top off and got to the wheel mechanism to clean. Some of the mice cannot be taken apart to clean.
2) If you cannot clean or the cleaning stops working, then you toss that mouse and get a new one. You can have a new mouse for $7-8. Mice are cheap and a few bucks more can get you a new much better mouse.
