Subject: Holy Cow, what plow!

Martinsville, Ohio

My friend had two 1850 Olivers with 4 X16 rollovers in the early 70's.  What a trip.  Then we dualed the tractors up and pulled a 22 foot disk and harrow with each one.

Wish I had a picture but I can see it vividly in my mind.

He let me pull his Oliver 77 with 80 hp stock in 1970 and we beat the national 5 SS stock champ on his Cockshutt 40 with corvair turbocharger.

Will never forget that!

I remember the first time dad turned me loose on the Super 77 and 3 bottom mounted Super Raydex plow.  I must have been about 17.  I plowed that rolling 27 acre field that was always one of our best fields by myself.  I worked hard enough to plant it, spray it and harvest by today's standards.

I hate dead furrows, too!

Really wish I had a picture of me doing that to show all of you so all I can show is no-tilling this year!

Ed
