mid Illinois
I have never found a mounted harrow that did a very good job in heavy stalks, or weeds. I run rolling baskets, which are great, but you had better not make a second pass as the ground will look like powder. My neighbors with their coil tines, 5 bars, and fuerst harrows made nice little ( and also great big) piles of weeds all across the fields last spring with the late planting, and heavy weed growth. I like the idea of a danish tine just lightly scratching the surface, and leveling things off. Maybe I wouldn't like it after I tried it, but who knows.
