N IL | Certaintly! It was a small family-owned local seed company started in either the 40's or 50's (I don't know for sure) Despite their size they had very good genetics, we were growing some of the first consistent 200 bu. corn back in the 80's with their seed. We have been a dealer and planted alot of their seed for as long as I can remember. They sold good performing hybrids at a very low price. It was kind of a neat operation, they grew alot of the corn and their processing facilities are right down the road from us (they now sit empty) A couple years ago they were bought out by Styer seeds our of Ohio I think. They were unable to keep up with the big boys and but genetics, so in an effort to provide the best genetics to their customers they sold the company. I guess I should quit wearing the hat but it just broke in now and I have a whole bunch of the anyway that will never be wore.
