| I was up in central Indiana yesterday and could not believe the ruts in some of the fields. There is probaly 1/4 of the crop still out in the field around the Franklin, IN area.
Here is one of the fields I passed. If you just scratch the top of these fields to level them back down, the compacted wheeltracks will show up next season as yellow streaks in the crop. I am guessing a ripper would be the best option. Setting the working depth of the ripper 2-3" below the bottom of the ruts would be the best solution in my opinion, but it will take some dry weather to do that !!
