I've got the opposite problem here in AZ. Brother printer is "offline" to my laptop but prints fine from my iPhone.
You are probably set up so the iPhone is talking directly to the printer.
And the laptop wants to go through your router to then talk to the printer wirelessly? And something isn’t set right in that three way laptop to router to printer conversation?
