East Central Ia | Not sure what your ground is like but we are rolling and contoured and adding something between the opener and the closer causes problems for us. We already have issues with the Deere style closer over the CaseIH style because the distance from the opener to the closer is farther away. We have a DB60 with the wheels in front of the toolbar which causes it to want to “swing” the row units ever so slightly while turning. We can’t make much of a turn without having the closers get off the center of the row.
I am also in the market for a fertilizer placement system but think I am just going to go with dribbling on top on both sides of the row until we can afford to get the PP Conceal setup. Have several neighbors with this system and they all love it. They say it’s expensive but well worth it... | |
