Mount Vernon, WA | You can rule out (or in) a mechanical issue by pulling the rocker covers off and manually engaging the jake solenoids with a small screwdriver. When you depress the solenoids one at a time, you should hear a loud popping noise out the exhaust. Each solenoid controls 2 cylinders, so you'll need to do 3 separate tests. Do them one at a time. The reaction should be similar among all 3 jake heads. | |
