| Looks great. I don’t doubt they take off on that ration. Always impressed with the quality of feed and cattle at your place. How come the hay through the shredder? Our starter ration is similar but we run the hay through a tub grinder and feed them tmr right off the hop. Gets a bit bulky in the wagon but seems to mix ok. We run a probiotic product called nature safe in the mix with starter calves also.
Our vaccine program is similar also, just no implants for us. Tried it a few ways, but I think the cattle do better when we get it done on the way in. Our calves are all here and settled in now. Feels good when the bunk is full of healthy cattle ready to eat. | |
