SeNE
Mg ppm is 300-400. Average pH is 5.8. CEC is 18. Buffer index is 6.6. Mg base saturation is 17% Ca is 62%. I can get lime with 2.6% mg applied for $23 a ton VRT or lime with 0.37% mg applied for $31 a ton. Clay loam soils that I would hate to raise the Mg too much. If I go the cheap route I would be adding 26 ppm of Mg per ton of lime applied. Does not seem like much since the calcium will also be reducing Mg. Should I go the cheaper route?
