Subject: RE: Going to try some merschman soybeans

Owensville, MO
I'm a big fan of Merschman beans. Been planting them for 10 years or more now. This year I planted all enlist beans so it's my first year for these varieties. I usually plant 3.9-4.5 maturity but tried some of the 3.7 Monroe this year and they did VERY well! I'll be planting more of them next year for sure. 3.9 Eisenhower that I have run so far are 2-3 bushel below the 3.7 but still doing very well. I have one more farm of those to take out and I believe it will be better than what I have done already done. I also have 40 acres of the 4.2 Memphis in which I don't think are gonna be around for next year. Have not got any of them out yet but hope to next week. They look to be just as good as the others but only one way to know for sure. We've had 5.1 inches of rain in the last 11 days so we are saturated right now. Hope to be able to start cutting again Monday.
