I think you misunderstood his post. He is not saying we should lie down like a submissive dog and give up. What he is pointing out, rightly so, is that historically no major power has ever stayed on top. There are many reasons for an empire to go into decline and the US is showing many of those reasons. It is a natural progression of human behavior and government. The Romans and the British also thought they would be at the absolute top of the power heap, along with various other empires before and after. But once there, complacency and entitlement within the population along with over reach of powers and government corruption sows the seeds for decline. Most will ignore the signs. Human nature. It moves so slowly most can not perceive the changes. He is not wanting our way of life and power to decline. He is just acknowledge what is happening. John
