I pulled one 400 miles behind a 7.3 Ford 250 with a banks turbo 10 years ago. Rig up the flashers to run with your pickup flashers and run a wire so you have 12 volts to the hitch and it pulls like a dream. I just used rachet straps on the pivot wheels so they couldnt get unlatched. Put some weights in your bed so you have plenty of braking power and you'll be fine. Be sure to have flashers and watch for narrow bridges.
