Subject: RE: Case IH 8230 DEF problems

Southeastern Tipton County, Indiana

brokedown - 10/18/2020 12:09 We have a 2012 8230 that has been getting the code SCR temperatures plausibility. E 1750-12 DTC:11F. Bad intelligence device. We have preformed the following. Changed all 3 filters (module, inline, and the one about the size of 22 shell). We have a vent filter on end of hose secured up high by motor. We have removed cleaned/inspected injector. Pressure runs consistent at 72 psi, temperature of def runs about 20 over ambient and consistent with our other combine and tractor. Injection rate seems fine and goes up and down matching engine load. Dealer and I are now thinking we need to replace the sensors on each side of the muffler. Any other ideas please fire away. Def is fine multiple machines pulling from same tote and the filters looked fine when replaced. Thanks in advance

This fault could be set by the intake humidity/temperature sensor, the upstream and downstream temperature sensors not in agreement. These sensors should all read the same on an engine that has completely cooled to ambient temperature.
