If your augers are controlled from your dryer panel, a simple way to be able to use them independently would be to put a toggle switch to control the control wire for the contactor for each auger. I'm thinking a switch with 3 terminals, switch one way is on, other way is auto. Middle wire goes to the contactor, "on" side comes from constant voltage source, "auto" comes from dryer load or unload control. Dryer controls augers in auto, and if you need one to run by itself, just flip it to on.

I like the bucket idea, simple, cheap and effective.
