That’s how they are. My 9120 does it as well. When I blew out my rotor cage it blew smoke out of the front on the feederhouse. Took me almost a week to find the problem, started with the Draper head center auger, new bearings in the front feederhouse drum, then I finally heard a broken vane ticking on a rasp bar, opened the covers up and there was my problem. Wasn’t a happy camper when I found out that was my problem.
