Winkler, Manitoba Canada
SOMN Corn and Cattle - 10/17/2020 18:35

We are drying corn into a 60,000 bushel, 48' bin, dumping hot, cooling in the bin, moisture around 15 in the bin. Burner on the dryer was off for a couple hours without us knowing, and we dumped about 1200 bushel of undryed, 21% corn into the bin. There was 15,000 bushel of dry corn, coned up, already in the bin. To get it out we figured we would have to take out close to 10,000 bushel, but then it would be blended at least. Or just start the dryer and keep filling? We could have the bin empty by end of May easily, earlier if needed. Location is southern MN. Just wanted to hear what thoughts anyone might have on what we should do or expect if we leave it and keep drying on top of it.

Question: Does this dryer not have flame monitoring that would shut it down? Might want to consider that for the future.
