| I agree 100% with you, BUT do you think the other packers are innocent. They are all doing the same thing.
Only way they get by with this is because they own to many of their own cattle.
How do you stop that??? America is a free country.
It sucks, again I agree with you that they have to much power, I just do not know what can be done.
If majority of Cow/Calf guys would retain ownership, that could help curb the ownership of the packers owning to many cattle, do not see that happening.
If congress would go back to enforcing some of the laws that prohibited monopolies, do not see that happening either.
Every local butcher shop is booked up over a year out, cost to start up small/local butcher shop is in excess of 1-2 million, then where do you find employees in small rural towns????
I do not see the game changing in our favor!
