One reason you may consider putting the relays on the airseeder is if you have several lights you want to control individually. Then you might run ( for example ) one large gauge hot wire and a cable of several small gauge wires rather than several ( not as large as the single large ) large gauge wires. One large gauge ground wire is needed in either case.
