Wife and I have had one of the early models for probably 20 years. Got it sometime in the 90s. Had to replace the compressor when lightening destroyed the original. The new compressor has wireless controllers. Insurance paid for the damage (including a couple of TVs, computers, and a few other electronics, less deductible, of course) so it's all good.
