New Brunswick, Canada | Just went through this, our older 200$ 3G model booster supported 2 bands, one of those bands is now obsolete, the other is only available on one tower anywhere near our house and apparently is like a fall back channel, didn't work right with our phones.
Bought a 4G HSPA/LTE compatible booster but made sure to get a model that matched what bands our provider had in our area using the cell mapper web site. The booster had 4 bands it covers, 2 of them available on a local tower.
Vendor had 10 band model that covers all service providers and would have worked for all the towers around us and guests using other companies, but that model was 650$. | |
