Central Alberta | Maybe I'm worried about nothing, but I think the human trace element cycle is broken. The human body needs about 60 elements and most of us get them all from our food. But does our food have them all? Plants only need about 15 elements from the soil and we replace them with fertilizer, but what about the other 45? They get mined out of the soil each year, and leave the farm by truck, never to return. Science knows so little about trace elements in the body, so how would we know if we were lacking some of them? | |
